Welcome to Parkdale Valais Blacknose

- Home of the world's cutest sheep -

Originating from Switzerland, the Valais Blacknose were first imported into New Zealand
(via embryos) in 2017 and Parkdale Valais Blacknose Stud was established in 2018.

Within New Zealand, we offer pure Valais rams and wethers each spring and a small selection of pure Valais ewes. Semen is also available from several of our top sires.

We also offer scanned in-lamb F2 and F3 ewes bred to one of our purebred Valais rams and registered with the NZ Sheep Breeders Association as part of the NZ Valais Blacknose Breeding-Up Programme.

In North America, we over embryos and semen and we also have a small selection of lambs available from our best genetics.

Hi! We're Melissa and Hayden Cowan.  Parkdale Farm is our home here in beautiful North Canterbury on New Zealand's South Island. We're passionate sheep farmers, especially for our Valais Blacknose Sheep and we'd love to share our story with you.
