Our Genetics
Parkdale Valais Blacknose has genetics from several top flocks in the United Kingdom.
Our first embryos imported in 2018, were from two outstanding rams, Prendwick Eros and Prendwick Basil, and two exceptional ewes, Prendwick Dot and Prendwick Dell_Girl, from Jamie Wood, Prendwick Farm. This was followed by embryos from Raymond Irvine (Valais Blacknose Scotland) and Adam Kirkbride (Cumberland Valais Blacknose) and semen from Geralt and Kerry Costello-Jones (Snowdonia Valais Blacknose).

Dam: Prendwick Dot
Bubbles' sire and dam are both graded maximum points, with Dot claiming the title of Female Reserve Champion at Blacknose Beauties (UK) in 2019.
Parkdale Bubbles is the dam of Laurelhighland Bubbles, one of only three Valais Blacknose graded maximum points in the USA in 2023.
She is also the dam of 2023 USA National Valais Blacknose Show Reserve Supreme Champion and Champion Valais Blacknose Ram, Iowa Kevin.
Parkdale Cloud
Date of Birth: 28 September 2019
Sire: Prendwick Basil
Dam: Prendwick Import
Cloud’s sire, Prendwick Basil, is maximum points graded animal.
Parkdale Cloud has produced Champion offspring, including Parkdale Flynn, Champion Male Valais Blacknose at the NZ Agricultural Show, 2023.
Parkdale Dot
Date of Birth: 5 June 2020
Sire: Parkdale Buddy
Dam: Parkdale Black Beauty
Parkdale Dot is the sire of Iowa Koala who was one of only three sheep graded maximum points at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show, 2023. Koala also was Reserve Champion Purebred Ewe at the same show.
Dot has maximum points graded animals in her pedigree including, Prendwick Basil and Prendwick Eros.

Several of Daffodil’s offspring graded -1 at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show, 2023.
Daffodil’s dam, Parkdale Bubbles, is the dam of Laurelhighland Bubbles, one of only three sheep graded maximum points at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show, 2023.
Dot has several maximum points graded animals in her pedigree, including Prendwick Basil, Prendwick Dot and Prendwick Eros.
Parkdale Floss

Floss is the full sister to Laurelhighland Bubbles who was one of only three sheep graded maximum points at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show, 2023. Floss is also full sister to Iowa Kevin who won Champion Purebred Ram and Reserve Supreme Champion Valais Blacknose at the same show.
Floss’s pedigree contains numerous maximum points graded animals,incuding Prendwick Basil, Prendwick Dot, Prendwick Eros, Highland King Kong and Hulk.

Parkdale Febe won Supreme Champion Valais Blacknose and Champion Valais Blacknose Ewe at the New Zealand Agricultural Show, 2023.
Febe’s sire, Parkdale Crackers, is the sire of Highland Kitty, graded maximum points and Supreme Champion Valais Blacknose at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show, 2023. Crackers also sired several offspring graded -1 at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show, 2023.
Febe’s pedigree contains numerous other maximum points graded animals including Prendwick Basil, Prendwick Dell-Girl and Prendwick Eros.

Fiona’s sire, Snowdonia Goliath, set the overall breed sale record in UK in 2021. Goliath was also Overall Reserve Champion and Overall Male Champion at Blacknose Beauties, UK 2021.
Fiona’s pedigree contains numerous other maximum points graded animals including Westmorland Dancer, Westmorland Ego and Prendwick Basil.
Fiona’s full brother, Parkdale Flynn, won Champion Valais Blacknose Ram and Reserve Supreme Champion Valais Blacknose at the New Zealand Agricultural Show 2023.

Francis’s sire, Snowdonia Goliath, set the overall breed sale record in UK in 2021. Goliath was also Overall Reserve Champion and Overall Male Champion at Blacknose Beauties, UK 2021.
Francis’s pedigree contains numerous other maximum points graded animals including Westmorland Dancer, Westmorland Ego, Prendwick Basil and Prendwick Eros. Eros has sired the largest number of maximum points graded offspring of any ram in the UK.

In addition, Jasmine’s grandsire, Highland Eric is graded maximum points and Overall Supreme Champion Valais at Blacknose Beauties, UK, in 2018.
